Photo-Journalism
The very testing Photo-Journalism project shows how to plan, organise and shoot 6 - 10 images in a photo-journalistic style to accompany an editorial story line and publishing deadline. For the purpose of this project, the subject matter is 'The fall of a village girl' who left her poor village in Bulgaria for the city lights, became caught up in vice and eventually dies of a drugs overdose. This is not an unusual situation and is echo'd in every big town and city in the world where poverty exists.
Although we have selected 'The fall of a village girl' as the subject for the project, we are always aware that the visiting photographers may have their own ideas for the subject matter and therefore we will always be pleased to adjust the theme of the project according to their choice.
However, the project has to be planned, created, shot and completed within one shooting day.
